Establishment of Grievance cells

Grievance cells have been established in all districts under the supervision of Assistant Director concerned and their phone numbers and address have been published in print and electronic media for receiving complaints and its immediate redressal. At Directorate level, a help line has been established to monitor public grievances/complaints promptly. The help line is being supervised by Joint Director (Adm) CAPD and any person having any complaint can register the same during working hours on the help line number 0194-2481276. The Directorate has also installed a suggestion/complaint box in the complex. The citizens can also deliver the same in written in the suggestion/complaint box installed at the main entrance gate of the Directorate. The anonymous suggestions are welcomed, whereas anonymous complaints are not entertained. The box is being opened on day to day basis.


Details of facilities available to the citizens for obtaining information.

The citizens desirous can seek information or redressal of their complaints by approaching the Director in the Directorate or any officer subordinate to him there under on any working day during working hours. The citizens desirous to obtain any information relating to the Department under the J&K Right to Information Act, 2009 can have the same by approaching the concerned Assistant Public Information Officer of the Department i.e. Assistant Director CAPD of the District. However, while seeking information under the Jammu and Kashmir Right to Information Act, 2009, the citizens have to follow the prescribed procedure which involves the deposition of the prescribed fee/making application on the prescribed form as specified in Jammu & Kashmir Right to Information Rules.

The public can contact the officers at the Directorate/Districts in connection with their complaints/queries/suggestions as per the details given in Annexure-“C’.
